About this policy
This policy explains what happens to information when you visit arcadelab.in (the “website”) or email ArcadeLab. It covers the website only. It does not cover ArcadeLab's games, or other ArcadeLab sites and subdomains, which may have their own privacy information.
ArcadeLab is an independent game studio. You can reach us at support@arcadelab.in.
The legal name and postal address of the operator will be added in the final version of this policy.
What this website collects
Very little. Specifically:
- Nothing you type into the website. It has no accounts, sign-up forms, comment boxes, or contact forms.
- Emails you send us. If you email support@arcadelab.in, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you choose to include, such as screenshots. We use this to read and reply to your message and to deal with what you raised. Like any email, it also passes through the email services involved in delivering it.
How long we keep messages, and on what legal basis we handle them, will be set out in the final version of this policy.
Cookies, browser storage, and analytics
This website doesn't set cookies, doesn't store data in your browser, and doesn't run advertising or social-media tracking scripts.
It does use one analytics service, Umami Cloud, to count visits and to see which pages and buttons people use, so we can decide what to improve. When you open a page, your browser loads Umami's tracking script from cloud.umami.is and sends Umami:
- the page you're on (its address and title) and the page you came from;
- technical details of your visit: your browser and operating system, device type, screen size, language, and country;
- which of a short list of actions you take: viewing a game page, clicking a button that leads to a game, clicking a store or download button, opening a development update, or using an email or copy-address button. These record only the action and what it relates to (for example a game's name) — never anything you type.
Umami says it doesn't use cookies and doesn't store personally identifiable information. Its documentation explains that a visit is recognised from a hash of your IP address, your browser's user agent and this website's ID, rather than from anything stored on your device. Because your browser contacts Umami's servers directly, those servers do see your IP address. Umami Cloud's servers are in the US and the EU, and Umami handles the data under its own privacy policy.
How long analytics data is kept, and on what legal basis it is handled, will be set out in the final version of this policy.
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the analytics script isn't loaded at all. A content blocker that blocks Umami works too, and the website works the same either way.
Hosting and third-party services
Like any website, arcadelab.in is delivered by servers, and delivering a page involves technical information about the request. Three outside services are involved:
- Hosting. The website is hosted by Hostinger. Its servers and network process technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Hostinger handles that data under its own privacy policy.
- Fonts. Pages load a typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser requests it directly from Google's servers, which receive your IP address, the address being requested, and browser details such as your user agent and the page you came from. Google states that the Google Fonts API doesn't set or log cookies; see Google's Fonts privacy FAQ.
- Analytics. Umami Cloud, described above. Its servers receive the information listed there, including your IP address, when your browser loads its script or an event is sent; see Umami's privacy policy.
Pages may also link to other websites. ArcadeLab doesn't control them, and this policy doesn't cover them.
Your choices and rights
You can email us to ask what we hold about you from messages you've sent, or to ask us to correct or delete it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; the final version of this policy will set out the ones that apply.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
